Setup:
- A netted trampoline is a must have for BumperBall. The net is there for more than just safety, but for keeping the ball in play.
- A netted trampoline is a must have for BumperBall. The net is there for more than just safety, but for keeping the ball in play.
- BumperBall is officialy played with 3 players on the trampoline, but accomodations can be made for more players.
- The official playing ball is a volleyball, but anything from a deflated basketball to a playground ball will work.
The Goal of the Game:
To win BumperBall a player mus be the first to reach ten points. To gain a point a player must kick the ball legal so that it touches another players upper body.
Playing the Game:
These rules are the core of the game:
- No touching the ball with your upper body (From the waist up, including hands and arms).
- To kick the ball both the player and the ball must be airborne. If the player is not airborne while touching the ball, there is no penalty on that player, but he may not legally hit anyone with the ball.
- If the ball has hit a players upper body, they can reach out and catch it before it reaches the ground to prevent the kicker from receiving a point.
- If the ball is knocked out of the trampoline the player with the last touch will loose a point.
These were the original rules of BumperBall, and should be sufficient until we post some more advanced rules.
